My Artistic Journey.
I Create Art.
For me, art is not just about aesthetics; it is about storytelling, advocacy, and connection. I create art to give a voice to my people in my homeland Palestine, to highlight the beauty and richness of our culture, and to draw attention to critical humanitarian issues. My work often showcases the traditions and heritage of Palestine, from the intricate details of our Tatreez (embroidery) to the enduring memories of life in a land that has been both home and battleground. I am especially drawn to the stories of women and children—their strength in the face of adversity, their capacity for love and resilience, and the injustices they face. Through my art, I hope to inspire conversations, evoke emotions, and most importantly, make people think about the world around them and their place within it.
About Me.
My journey as an artist began in my earliest childhood memories. Even before I turned five, my mother noticed my natural inclination for drawing and nurtured this passion by introducing me to various people who encouraged my creativity. Her unwavering belief in my talent led to one of the most formative experiences of my life: at just six years old, I was invited to participate in an art exhibition hosted by an NGO related to UNRWA, an organization dedicated to supporting Palestinian families in Amman, Jordan. This opportunity to showcase my work at such a young age left a profound impact on me. I realized that art was not just a hobby but a powerful means of expression that could communicate ideas and emotions across boundaries. From that moment on, the fire to pursue art as a lifelong journey was ignited.
My Mission & Vision.
The Why...
My art is a reflection of my deepest hope: to contribute to a world that is more peaceful and inclusive. I use my work to explore the complex issues of humanity, equality, and cultural identity, with a particular focus on the experiences of my homeland, Palestine.
Through my art, I aim to capture the struggles and resilience of my people. Themes of displacement, the lives of children in war zones, and the power of women in adversity are central to my work. These themes resonate with me personally as I draw on my own experiences of being a Palestinian woman, mother, and survivor of many life’s challenges. My goal is to evoke a sense of empathy and reflection, urging the viewer to consider not only the beauty of culture and tradition but also the ongoing humanitarian struggles faced by many today.
Style & Medium.
In terms of style, my work falls within the contemporary art movement, blending traditional and modern techniques to create something that feels fresh yet timeless. I frequently combine brushes and palette knives in the creative process, which allows me to build texture and movement in my pieces. Every artwork starts with a clear vision that I’ve refined through multiple sketches and deep contemplation. I don't rush my process; instead, I take the time to truly understand what I want the artwork to communicate to the audience. I have a strong affinity for both oil and watercolor paints, though I never mix the two. I find that each medium offers something unique—oil paint brings depth and richness, while watercolor offers fluidity and lightness. Together, these techniques help me express the complexity and nuance of the themes I explore.
Notable Projects

The Palestinian Nakba Revival 1948
One of my most significant projects is "The Palestinian Nakba Revival 1948," a series of nine oil paintings based on documentary images of the Nakba. The paintings feature black-and-white depictions of this historical event, with vibrant colored backgrounds, symbolizing the need to keep these memories alive for future generations. This project was deeply personal, inspired by a conversation with my young daughter about our heritage and history.

Breathing Palestine
Breathing Palestine is a collection that celebrates the enduring spirit of Palestinian culture and the deep connection to a homeland that, though erased from the map, continues to live on in our hearts. This series of works captures the essence of Palestine, a land that still breathes through us, with its vibrant streets, timeless charm, and rich history. Despite the physical loss, the soul of Palestine remains alive and present in every brushstroke, reminding us that its existence is far more than just a place on a map—it is a living, breathing part of who we are. This is an ongoing project, evolving as I continue to explore and express the unbreakable bond between the people and their homeland.

Zuqaq Collection
Another significant project is the Zuqaq Project, a series of paintings inspired by Palestinian streets and cities. This project was a tribute to the vibrant culture and life that once filled these streets. Through this series, I sought to capture the essence of daily life in Palestine, focusing on the architecture, the people, and the stories that unfold in these spaces. The paintings are based on photographs mixed with my memories and imagination, blending reality with abstraction to create a sense of timelessness. The Zuqaq Project is a personal reflection of my own connection to Palestine and the streets where countless untold stories linger.
